Itching for Ministry
As we look at the signs of the times, we who are spiritually connected realize that something is going on. I have heard of many deaths in recent weeks of people whom I know. There seems to be unrest in the Middle East. As soon as one terrorist cell is destroyed or contained, it seems that another decides to rear its head. By the same token, many people are being thrust into ministry and many are itching to be thrust. I remember years ago when I thought that I was getting the call to preach, it scared me to death. All I could think about is someone who probably doesn't have a full time job except that of ministry. Most importantly, it meant giving up my plans which was scary. After conversations with my pastor at the time and instructions on how to hear from God, the plan He had for me became clearer. That is why I am in education. What about those who want to be thrust out there and go to seminary school and are desperately waiting to hear from God? What can you do? The prayer ministry is wide open. We need all types of prayer warriors. When the enemy comes in, the spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19).
The prayer ministry can cover families, stop terrorists in their tracks, improve the economy, heal the sick and abundance of other things. Men ought to always pray. If you are looking for something to do, pray. If you are looking for something to do, work in a church or a non-profit. Volunteer at a school. When God sees you busy and serious, I am sure that He will give you something to do. We are all called to purpose. For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction. That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man (Job: 33:14-17). Be blessed. God has a plan for you. Seek after it.
